What is Sintered Stone?

Sintered stone is a durable and non-porous material that is made by blending natural minerals such as feldspar, quartz, and clay with pigments and other additives. These materials, in powdered form, are pressed into large slabs, which are then heated to temperatures exceeding 1200°C and subjected to intense pressure to create a solid surface that is highly resistant to scratches, stains, and heat. The resulting sintered stone slabs are available in a wide range of colors, patterns, and finishes, making them a versatile option for various applications in both residential and commercial settings. Sintered stone is highly durable and resistant to extreme temperatures and chemicals for cleaning. It is also non-absorbent and inhospitable to dirt, mold, and bacteria. This ensures long-lasting sophistication, even in the most demanding settings.

We import our Sintered Stone from Lapitec, a company based in Modena, Italy, with offices in Canada.
